The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at the University of British Columbia’s Vancouver campus invites candidates to apply for a lecturer position (100% time) for the period from July 1, 2016 through April 30, 2017 (10 months). The successful candidate will develop new laboratory activities for a third year laboratory immunology/virology course, organize and teach this third year immunology/virology laboratory course, and teach second and third year virology courses.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in immunology, virology, or a related discipline; be familiar with modern concepts and experimental approaches in immunology and virology; have relevant teaching experience immunology and virology courses; and have a documented ability to provide high quality instruction at the university level. Experience in laboratory organization and management is desirable.
