Job description:
The AMS group at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), Chinese Academy of Science in Beijing, opens two postdoctoral positions to work on the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS-02) experiment at CERN.

The goal of Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer, a state of art particle detector on the International Space Station, is searching for dark matter and antimatter, and studying the origin, acceleration and propagation of cosmic-ray by precise measurement of high energy cosmic-rays. Since the launch in May 2011, five papers on cosmic-ray electron, positron and proton have been published. The IHEP group is now working on the analysis of cosmic-ray antiprotons and high energy electrons, as well as ECAL calibrations and reconstructions.

The candidates are expected to work on AMS-02 data analysis. The positions are of two years with possible extensions. We anticipate the candidates to be resident at CERN, and spend fractional time at IHEP, Beijing. Experience on data analysis of particle physics and good understanding of particle detectors, as well as a Ph.D. degree in experimental particle physics by the time of the appointment is required.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vita, a statement of research interests, a list of publications, and provide three references letters to

Dr. Zuhao LI:
 IHEP, CAS, P.O. Box 918-4 , Beijing 100049, China
 email: lizh@mail.ihep.ac.cn

These positions will be open until filled. Applications before Sep 15, 2015 will be fully considered.
